Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream
King Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream that no one could interpret. He demanded that his wise men not only interpret the dream but also tell him what the dream was. When they failed, the king ordered all the wise men to be executed—including Daniel and his friends.
Daniel Seeks God’s Wisdom
Daniel prayed to God, asking for wisdom to interpret the dream. That night, God revealed the meaning of the dream to Daniel. He gave praise to God, saying:
Daniel 2:23 (NLT) says: “I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength.”
Daniel Interprets the Dream
Daniel went before the king and explained the dream. He revealed that Nebuchadnezzar had dreamed of a great statue made of different metals, representing different kingdoms. Only God’s kingdom would last forever. The king was amazed and honored Daniel, making him a ruler over Babylon.
